DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Sofia!\n\n\n\n\n14th Balkan Ophthalmic Wetlab Course will be held 6 – 9 May 2026 in Hotel Hilton Sofia\, Bulgaria. \n\n\n\n\nThinking Differently about Teaching and Learning\n\n\n\n\nThe Balkan Ophthalmic Wetlab Course offers a modular educational program that comprehensively covers the entire spectrum of ophthalmology. This distinctive and in-depth workshop includes both theoretical and practical components in areas such as cataract surgery\, vitreoretinal surgery\, laser refractive procedures\, glaucoma interventions\, keratoplasty\, and oculoplastic surgery. Each module integrates lectures\, surgical videos\, and hands-on wetlabs\, all guided by distinguished international faculty and expert practitioners from around the world. \nBOW is designed to address the existing gaps in post-graduate ophthalmology training across the Balkan region. Its goal is to enhance the clinical and surgical capabilities of both trainees and practicing ophthalmologists by supporting the advancement of their professional expertise. The course is open to residents as well as experienced specialists seeking to deepen their knowledge in specific ophthalmic fields. \nOphthalmology is a dynamic and evolving field\, and through initiatives like the Balkan Ophthalmic Wetlab Course\, we aim to foster continuous learning and innovation. By bringing together passionate professionals from diverse backgrounds\, we encourage the exchange of ideas and techniques that not only enrich clinical practice but also offer a personally fulfilling experience. \nWe look forward to having you join our 14th edition!
